alr to be honest i got bored of regular Breadocalypse theres SO MUCH STUFF IN THERE I CANT UNDERSTAND

THERES 4000 BLOCKS IN THERE

so i decided to make a lighter simpler version which fits the '80s or '90s style and now its just 900 blocks (almost 25% of the regular game!)

This project was actually started because of a dream! Guess that's the source of inspiration ever!


1. Requirements

  1. A computer with at least 600MB (free) of memory
  2. Good internet
  3. Any web browser (or .html viewer)
  4. Javascript (you have it)
  5. A physical presence
  6. A keyboard unless you got a controller and a script that simulates pressing keys on your keyboard

2. Controls

Any QWERTY keyboard format is recommended. You cannot change the keybinds, as i have not implemented so.

3. How To Play

1. Object of the game

Every wave spawns a horde of bread , chasing player at like crazy.
Move player with W A D to avoid the bread and use the patented GUN to damage the bread.
Wipe out all bread to complete the wave and proceed to the next. The goal is to survive as long as possible before you lose all HP.

2. bread and Behaviour

bread is the main antagonist of the game. They only attack by bouncing around and tackling the player. Although, it is GUARANTEED that the bread jumps higher when player is higher than bread (or when they feel like it).

During waves, there is a chance for special kinds of bread to spawn. These have special abilities, which makes them more valuable to kill.

bread Heals by 1 HP when tackling. 11% 20
bread 50% chance to dodge player attacks. 11% 15
bread Tackling is twice as effective. 11% 20

You will also see ! and !! signs in the top of the stage.The chance for !! increases depending on your wave. These guaranteed to spawn bread, depending on how many ! are on the alert. These alerts have a long cooldown, but is decreased every wave. These mobs do not count on the wave, meaning that the wave will complete even if there is still bread present on the screen.

3. SUPERPOWERS!?

Every 10 kills, a power spawns. Collecting it grants one of 5 powers, picked at random, lasting 30 seconds:

bread Dealing serious damage, making loaves easy to kill.
Except for the tank one, which requires two shots instead.
bread REGENERATE YEAHHHHH for 2 HP/s
Timer is still active even when at max HP.
bread Halves taken damage.
bread Double points!
At the time of writing this, i thought of making the timer count down when you kill. I think i know why it won't work...
bread Double speed!
Here's a secret, 50% chance to dodge while moving.

4. Legal stuff

With a game comes legal stuff. LOTS of legal stuff. The legal stuff is boring, but we gotta have the legal stuff in order to protect the legal game from the illegal. So heres the legal stuff how many times did i say "legal stuff":

You can’t use this game’s legal stuff for anything illegal, and you gotta respect all the other legal stuff that comes with it.
The legal stuff also says you can’t hold us liable if the legal stuff doesn’t work out as expected.

The images and sounds are provided by jsfxr, Suno, BeepBox Pixilart, Libresprite and PenguinMod.
They probably have their legal stuff too, but by default, theyre all in the MIT license as i made them (unless aprovider uses another license instead, then its not MIT).
